🇸🇪 Frida Öhrn releases her version of Roxette’s ‘Fading Like a Flower’

Melodfiestivalen 2020 participant Frida Öhrn has released a new single. The new music she is releasing today, is a cover of the song “Fading Like a Flower” by ‘Roxette’, who scored four US number ones with “The Look”, “Listen to Your Heart”, “It Must Have Been Love” and “Joyride”.

Speaking about the release of the Roxette cover, Frida had the following to say:

Marie has been a great inspiration to me since my childhood. My version of “Fading Like A Flower” feels more poppy, summery and bright. It’s a version that I want to drive my car to, roll down the windows and crank up the volume. At the same time, Per Gessle‘s text is heartbreakingly sad and I like that combination

This will not be the first time that Frida has given tribute to Roxette. In 2019, she honoured Marie Fredriksson with a performance of ‘Spending My Time’ in ‘BingoLotto’, which you are able to watch below.
