British songwriter and producer Tony Hiller has passed away aged 91. He was best known for writing and producing Brotherhood of Man’s winning 1976 Eurovision entry “Save Your Kisses for Me”.
A look into Hiller’s career
Tony Hiller began his career as a member of the Hiller Brothers. Tony and his brother Irving appeared on stage as a song and dance duo with many famous performers. Familiar names include Matt Monro and Kathy Kirby, who both represented the United Kingdom at Eurovision in 1964 and 1965.
In addition, he wrote songs for various Eurovision artists. These artists include Lulu, Cliff Richard, Sonia, Olivia Newton John and Anne Marie David. As well as being behind Brotherhood of Man’s “Save Your Kisses for Me”, he also wrote other hits for them such as “Angelo” and “Figaro”.

Hiller passed away on August 26, leaving behind his wife Leigh. A post was published on Facebook on the day he died.
