The BBC has confirmed that it will join the party in Tel Aviv. The broadcaster is now asking the public for submissions on what might be their entry next year.
Submissions for entries are now open!
Artists can submit potential entries to the BBC until the 26th Octobe. Public submissions will then be shortlisted by a representative panel from OGAE UK.
The BBC will also be seeking entries from leading songwriters with the new Music Consultant for the BBC Greig Watts, who has expressed their excitement about his involvement in the selection of the United Kingdom’s entry:
The Eurovision Song Contest just gets bigger and better and more exciting for me each year, and I’m sure Israel will deliver another amazing contest.
I’m so happy to be involved this year for the UK; it really is a dream come true, and I’m looking forward to working with the team to get the strongest possible song and result we can for the UK, like we do on the world music stage.
There’s no guaranteed song-writing formula for Eurovision as each year something different wins. I’m looking for melodic songs with impact for the arena as well as on TV. Songs that instantly hit you and never leave your brain!”

The entry for the United Kingdom will once again be selected through ‘Eurovision: You Decide’ with more details about the show to be announced at a later date.
