Cezar Ouatu makes X Factor UK his life!

After charming audiences across the continent in Malmö at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 with “It’s My Life”, Cezar Ouatu from Romania takes to The X Factor UK stage on Saturday 22nd September to win over the judging panel.

Born in Romania, raised in Italy. Opera surprises the judges.

The X Factor isn’t well known in the UK for having a diverse range of genres represented on the show. In fact, artists who are not usually from a pop music background tend to aim for a place on Britain’s Got Talent instead. However this year, having already seen a choir and a senior citizen crooner or two, it’s now the turn for opera.

Whilst “It’s My Life” was a popera approach to performing by Cezar Ouatu, his X Factor audition is purely opera. Auditioning with “Nessun dorma”, one of the most well known pieces, Cezar shocks the judges with his prowess and operatic capabilities.

13th at Eurovision, how far can he go this time?

This year’s auditions phase is almost over. At the end of the show on Sunday 23rd September, the acts will find out which ones are proceeding to the Six Chair Challenge round of the competition.

After that, the competition moves into its final phases. The last twenty four acts will go to Judges Houses where they will find out if they make the cut for the Live Shows.

Will Cezar Ouatu win over the judges and he audience? Can he go all the way to the live shows? Let us know in the comments below or on social media @ESCXTRA.

Why oh why was Cezar sent off ??? he was the best singer in that group. You seem to keep like Simons group all girls with screechy strained notes, not singing at all. I have watched The X Factor for years and at 78 I just feel you are not keeping good singers on. Also I don’t think Cezar would have gone if the judge made her own mind up instead of looking round at the audience. PLEASE BRING CEZAR BACK. XXXXXX

I agreed with Enid about Cezar on the X Factor. If he made a cd or dvd singing well known classics he surely could, not go wrong.
