The list of Eurovision artists appearing on X Factor just keeps on growing. After Brendan Murray‘s appearance a while ago, tonight will be the night for not only Cezar Ouatu, but also Maltese star Gaia Cauchi to take her chances in the United Kingdom.
From Junior Eurovision to The X Factor UK
Fifteen year old Gaia Cauchi rose to European fame back in 2013. She represented her country, Malta, at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest that year in Kyiv. She ended up winning the contest with her entry The Start. To honour her achievement, she received the Midalja għall-Qadi tar-Repubblika, the Medal for Service to the Republic of Malta, a prestigious award.
On tonight’s X Factor, Gaia Cauchi will be hoping to impress the judges: Simon Cowell, Robbie Williams and his wife Ayda Fiels, as well as Louis Tomlinson. She will sing Paloma Faith’s Only Love Can Hurt Like This. As TellyMix reported, Robbie Williams was impressed by the young songstress, but he does have some concerns over her young age…
Next phase approaching
The next phase of X Factor UK is rapidly coming closer. Tomorrow, on 23rd September, we’ll see the last auditions. After those, we will hear and see which acts are progressing to the Six Chair Challenge. The final twenty-four acts will then take part in the Judges’ Houses, to find out if they will make it through to the liveshows of X Factor UK.
Will Gaia Cauchi convince the judges enough to make it through? What do you think? Let us know!
