Eleni Foureira tops LOS40 chart and teases Tomame

Burning up and not cooling down! Eleni Foureira tops the LOS40 chart in Spain and announces new single Tomame. Along with joining the TANGA! party in London.

Fuego tops LOS40 chart

Following Eleni’s rising popularity across Spain, the Lisbon runner-up smash hit Fuego has now topped one of their biggest charts. Thus cementing its place further in Eurovision history after it has now surpassed over 105 million combined views and streams across YouTube and Spotify.

Hosted by Tony Aguilar, the LOS40 chart allows listeners of the Spanish radio station to vote for the most important chart song of the week. Voting is comprised of listener phone calls and an online vote on the top 40 chart. However online voting is restricted to one vote per song and a total of five songs each week per person that can be voted for. Additionally viewers phoning in to the station can submit their own favourite songs into the chart. Whereas online voting only allows for voting on the currently selected list.

Therefore this chart is influential in showing the current popularity of songs and artists in Spain and also in Central and South America, where the station is broadcast. Such is its influence that over 3 million listeners tune in to the radio station in Spain alone. Popular DJ Tony Aguilar hosts the chart, who was also one half of Spain’s Eurovision commentary team in Lisbon this year. Every Saturday listeners can follow the chart between 10am-2pm local time. Moreover international listeners can tune in to the station online here.

My first Eurovision memory was watching 1994 as a hatchling. I've been tapping my talons to the bops and bangers from Europe and beyond ever since! I finally spread my wings to attending the contest in Lisbon 2018 and am now a regular at many events and national finals - especially my regular nest at Eesti Laul.
