Final six chosen in Wales for next week’s final of ‘Chwilio am Seren’!

Tonight, Welsh broadcaster S4C aired the third episode of their Junior Eurovision selection process Chwilio am Seren – Search for a Star. At the end of the programme, the six finalists were revealed!

The talented twelve take over Swansea

This week, the remaining twelve performers faced a live audience for the first time. After mentoring from the three coaches, Connie Fisher, Stifyn Parri and Tara Bethan, each artist took to a stage in Swansea’s Quadrant Shopping Centre to belt out a cover version in Welsh. For some, it was the first time they had sung in Welsh!

The final six are chosen!

After a series of fantastic performances, including a cover by Lily of 2014 Eurovision winner Rise Like a Phoenix by Conchita Wurst, the coaches chose their final six. To reveal the results, the coaches surprised each performer at their school or home! Therefore, the final six are as follows:

  • Ella Georgia Thomas
  • Gracie-Jayne
  • Lauren Mia Jones
  • Lily
  • Manw Lili Robin
  • Misha Parry

Next week, on Tuesday, October 9th, these six will perform live in Llandudno for the S4C viewers. The Welsh public will then be able to cast a vote for their winner!

My first memory of watching the Eurovision Song Contest was back in 2001 and, over the years, my passion and enthusiasm for the contest has very much turned into an obsession. I adore music and I love geography, so this contest is a natural fit for me. If la la loving Eurovision was a crime, I'd certainly be a criminal!
