Nare releases Junior Eurovision entry “DANCE!”

"DANCE!" is the 16th and final Junior Eurovision 2022 entry to be released!

Two weeks ago, Armenian broadcaster AMPTV announced that Nare would be bringing this year’s host entry for Junior Eurovision. “DANCE!” is the 16th and final entry of this year’s contest to be released.

Nare Ghazaryan will represent her home nation on Sunday 11 December, having been internally selected by AMPTV. Her candidacy was announced two weeks ago via a press conference, where further details of the opening ceremony were also announced.

Her entry, titled “DANCE!” was written and composed by Grigor Kyokchyan and Nick Egibyan.

Nare is 14 and loves to sing and dance, and has previously participated in singing competitions.

Junior Eurovision 2022

The 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be held on December 11th in the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex in Yerevan, Armenia. This is the second time that Yerevan is hosting the contest, after previously having this honour in 2011. A total of 16 countries will ‘Spin The Magic’ later this year. Armenia at Junior Eurovision 2021

Back in 2020, Maléna was internally-selected by AMPTV to represent Armenia with the song “Why”. Unfortunately, the broadcaster eventually withdrew from the contest. The following year, her return was sealed with the release of “Qami Qami, which was produced by tokionine and written by Vahram Petrosyan, tokionine, David Tserunyan and Maléna herself.

In a nail biting voting sequence, Armenia topped the scoreboard with 224 points. Poland’s Sara James finished in second place with 218 points. In the online voting breakdown, it was revealed that Armenia beat Poland in the online vote by approximately 27,000 votes.

Maléna’s victory gives Armenia their second Junior Eurovision win after previously winning the competition in 2010 with the song Mama, performed by Vladimir Arzumanyan.
