Arvingarna, Wiktoria and Nano could be returning to
Melodifestivalen for 2019 according to Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet. This follows the earlier rumour of ex-FO&O member Oscar Enestad entering a song for the contest.
Arvingarna – “Eloise”
Arvingarna famously represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 1993 with the song “Eloise”. The dansband are set to return to Melodifestivalen according to sources for Aftonbladet. Suggestions are singer Casper Janebrink’s win on TV4’s “Stjärnornas stjärna” has influenced the desire to compete again at Melodifestivalen. “Stjärnornas stjärna” was a singing competition hosted by Petra Mede (Eurovision 2013 & 2016 host) and featured other recent Melodfestivalen artists Ace Wilder and Wiktoria.
Wiktoria and Nano also set to return?
Two other names from Aftonbladet’s sources suggest Wiktoria and Nano could return to the Swedish national selection. Both became strong favourites in their years and will surely be looking to win the contest and represent Sweden at Eurovision in Tel Aviv. Nano placed second in 2017 with “Hold On”. Wiktoria placed fourth in 2016 with “Save Me” and placed sixth in 2017 with “As I Lay Me Down”.
