Russia announce JESC 2021 selection finalists

We will find out who is going to represent Russia very soon!

This year Russia got around 600 submissions from all over the country for Junior Eurovision 2021 to choose from, at the end 65 of them were picked for another selection round.

The semi-final of the Russian JESC national selection took place in Moscow, Russia on September 30. Now the final show details are revealed.

We will find out the Russian representative quite soon, on October 26 already. The final results will be a combination of the professional jury votes and online public voting.

As usual, the event will be broadcasted at the Russian TV channel for kids “Karusel”. Later the national final team will reveal the dates of the online public voting so stay tuned if you are interested!

As you can notice, there’s one familiar name among others: Tanya Mezhentseva represented Russia at the Junior Eurovision already in 2019 along with Denberel Oorzhak.

Russia at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest

Russia debuted in the contest in 2005 in Hasselt and have never missed it since then.

The Junior Eurovision had Russia as a winner twice. The Tolmachevy Twins took the trophy first with their song “Vesenniy Jazz” in 2006, then Polina Bogusevich won with her song “Wings” in 2017. However, since then Russia has not hosted the contest yet.

In 2020 Sofia Feskova represented the country with her song “My New Day” and came 10th.
