Preparations for Minsk underway!

Since winning the right to be the first representative for Kazakhstan at a Eurovision contest, Daneliya has been busy promoting and preparing for her performance by filming and releasing the music video for her entry.

It has also been confirmed that Daneliya will be collaborating with Alexei Golubev (who was responsible for Russia’s staging, at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015), in order to create a “modern pop-modern-style” performance.

Kazakhstan in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest

Last month, Kazakhstan picked Daneliya Tuleshova to be their first representative at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Minsk in November. The final version of the entry Ózíne sen (Seize the Time) was recently released and finds itself as one of the current favourites amongst fans across social media. Perhaps a Junior Eurovision win on their debut could be the key to a debut in the adult contest?

Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018

Belarus’s capital Minsk will be the host of the 2018 edition of Junior Eurovision. This is the second time the event takes place in the city, that previously hosted it in 2010. A record-breaking 20 countries will participate in Minsk on November 25.

Wales and Kazakhstan will both make a debut with Kazakhstan participating for the first time to any Eurovision related event. Furthermore,  the contest will also feature three returning countries: France, that last participated in 2004, Azerbaijan that last participated in 2013 and Israel that last participated in 2016.

Unfortunately,  Cyprus instead confirmed its withdrawal from the competition. So far, we know 19 of the 20 contestants, with Ireland still remaining to choose their entrant for this year.

I started watching Eurovision ever since I moved to the UK in 2006, obsessed since 2012 and haven't looked back since.
