A newscast of one of the major TV stations in Israel has reported on some of the plans for Eurovision Village in Tel Aviv, including night-long parties with food, music and Eurovision acts on stage. The village is set to be hosted at Charles Clore Park on the coastline of the city. As ever the village will be a public space free to enter for all Eurovision fans in the city. The park is known for hosting the annual Tel Aviv Pride parties.
Tel Aviv’s plans for the Eurovision Village 2019 include extending the park’s area and to have different themed zones. Some of these zones could include Israeli cuisine, sports & yoga, and DJs. As with every Eurovision Village a main stage will host the live show screenings as well as live performances from Eurovision stars. Many of Israel’s previous participants are expected to perform.
It’s reported that the budget for the Eurovision Village is to be NIS 5 million. (1.2 million euros)
Eurovision Village and ‘White Night’ combined?
There are also reports Tel Aviv have decided to mix Eurovision Village with an annual event called “White Night”. The “White Night” is a special cultural night in Tel Aviv with a mix of events including concerts, parties and special exhibitions.
The collaboration with the Eurovision Village and all the participating countries next year will result in more than 40 stages all across the city. Each stage will represent each country that participates in Eurovision 2019.
