Minsk will play host to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018. Previously, we revealed the stage design for the contest and now the construction of the stage for the contest has finally begun!
You can see the progress so far below:
So far, the stage engineers have set up the circular lighting rig for the stage and the main stage itself will be built soon. The Minsk Arena is usually used as an ice hocket venue. Therefore, the Belarusians have sprayed a heat-resistant coating over the entire ice rink to ensure that it does not melt. As you can imagine, the stage and audience falling into a giant, ice-cold pool is not what the producers are wanting for the show!
Are you looking forward to seeing the finished stage? Who is your favourite to win Junior Eurovision this year?
