Running order draw for Junior Eurovision 2018 takes place

This afternoon, the opening ceremony for the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest took place at the BelExpo in the Belarusian capital city of Minsk. During the ceremony, hosted by Denis Dudinsky and Anna Kviloria, the running order draw was held.

Who’s performing first and last?

As is traditional for the Junior contest, a draw takes place during the opening ceremony to determine which country will perform first and last. In addition, the position for host nation Belarus was determined. You can see the results of this draw below:

  • Performing 1st:  Ukraine
  • Performing 8th: Belarus
  • Performing 20th: Poland

Producers to determine rest of running order

The producers of the contest will then determine the rest of the running order. Based on last year, it is expected this will be announced later this evening. Stay tuned!

Tomorrow, the first rehearsals of the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will begin! ESCXTRA will be inside the press centre in Minsk to keep you up to date with all the events of the day.

My first memory of watching the Eurovision Song Contest was back in 2001 and, over the years, my passion and enthusiasm for the contest has very much turned into an obsession. I adore music and I love geography, so this contest is a natural fit for me. If la la loving Eurovision was a crime, I'd certainly be a criminal!
