ESCXTRA are live from Minsk for day 2 of rehearsals ahead of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018!

Today’s schedule

Next up to rehearse today is Rita Laranjeira from Portugal. We have just watched the first run through of Gosto de Tudo (Já Não Gosto de Nada) live on screen and here is our initial overview.

Rehearsal review

There’s a really clever portrait mode mobile phone overlay in the first chorus… featuring the Facebook live emoji reactions floating across the screen too!

The second verse features camera cuts as if she’s swiping through a gallery of images on an Instagram post!

There’s also a shot to the crowd with someone using a mobile phone camera to take an image of Rita on stage.

Big kudos to Portugal for using some inventive overlays we’ve never seen before.

The big bass drum instrumental is bouncing through the stadium for the Portuguese entry.

Rita’s outfit is fun, casual and reflects her personality well.

Watch the rehearsal!

Stay tuned for our review of Anna Filipchuk’s rehearsal of Unbreakable next for Russia. Furthermore, click here for a recap of everything that happened on day 1!
