Next up to rehearse today is Daneliya Tuleshova from Kazakhstan. We have just watched the first run through of Ózińe Sen live on screen and here is our initial overview.
They may be newcomers, but Kazakhstan have planned their debut Junior Eurovision performance with the utmost precision.
Their use of camera angles and effects is arguably the most advanced we’ve seen so far, with the use of the letterbox effect throughout parts of the song (see Mikolas Josef’s Lie to Me for an example). In addition there’s use of a sepia filter during specific camera transitions in which there are close-ups to Daneliya’s face.
In regards to the actual staging, there is a golden pocket watch theme on the LED floor and also the backdrop to begin with. Nevertheless, the backdrop changes to a classic Disney-inspired golden sky full of clouds and birds. It’s very expensive Disney rather than childish Disney.
There’s a particularly effective LED image of two hands meeting towards the end of the song creating a beam of gold light. The camera shots make the most of mixing in the LED graphics with shots of Daneliya herself.
Daneliya is wearing a long white dress, creating a warm feel when mixed with the staging effects. The press around us are considering this one of the strongest, if not the strongest rehearsal so far. Well done Daneliya!
