ESCXTRA are live from Minsk for day 4 of rehearsals ahead of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018!

Todayโ€™s schedule

The next artist to rehearse today is Max & Anne from The Netherlands. We have just watched the latest run through of Samen. Now, let’s compare the differences between the first and second rehearsals!

First rehearsal recap

Second rehearsal changes

I was not here for the first rehearsal but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with the performance. The performance starts with the two dancers on the satellite stage and the silhouette of Max and Anne appears before the camera focuses on them.

As in the first rehearsal, Max is wearing a shining black jacket and jeans and Anne is wearing a white long-sleeved dress. The performance throughout features close up camera shots of both participants and their image in the LED screens is also prominent in the performance.

When the songs slows down and then picks up their image on the LED pops up contained in a pyramid and continues to appear in the background. That is one of my favourite parts of the performance, both in the way it looks and vocally speaking.

Eventually, the performance finishes with more close up shots of Max and Anne and the background dancers, which in my opinion really make the performance feel complete.
