Armenia’s Rosa Linn covers “Saudade, Saudade”

We’re entering the second week post-Eurovision final, and at this point, there’s two kinds of people. Some of us are trying to get back into the “real world”, seeing what music has been released outside of the Eurovision world. And then, some of us are doubling down on the class of 2022 with a whole new energy now that it all happened on stage.

Armenia’s 2022 representative Rosa Linn seems to be part of the second group. She took the time to share with her fans a cover of one of the competing entries this year, Portugal’s “Saudade, Saudade”.

In a short video shared on twitter, filmed in a hotel room, Rosa puts her own spin on the beautiful Portuguese entry, which gave Portugal another top 10 result this year. It mostly stays true to the gentle feel of the original, but with a few additional beats added for effect.

Give it a listen below and tell us what you think!

This isn’t the first time ESC 2022 artists have covered each other’s songs. As we’ve seen in the Eurovision House Party series, where Australia’s Sheldon Riley performed the Swedish entry “Hold Me Closer”. Cornelia Jacobs’ entry seems to be the biggest hit, as 2022 runner-up Sam Ryder jumped in on a duet with her.

On top of that, Rosa Linn is not the first artist to express her admiration for Maro and her entry “Saudade, Saudade”. Serbia’s Konstrakta has declared the song “her winner” in an instagram post after the final.
