People have been busy guessing, who the artists on the video might be. People think they recognized tenor and Australia’s Got Talent winner Mark Vincent and pop star Ricki-Lee Coulter, who has already shown interest in taking part in Eurovision Song Contest. Before Blink TV and SBS also included Ricki-Lee on their wishlist

One of the artists on the video could be The Presets. The electronic music duo was founded in 2003 and three of their albums have charted in top five on Australia’s album chart.

Over the submission period of three weeks, over 700 songs were submitted for the first Australian national selection. SBS has also expressed their satisfaction with the songs they received, noting that it showcases “the diversity, high-quality and songwriting talent across Australia”.

The selection will be hosted in the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre and will take place on February 9th. Jury and public vote will select the Australian entry. Just like in Eurovision, a jury show will take place the day prior, the jury will account for 50 percent of the result and the televoting for the rest 50 percent.

I started watching Eurovision back in 2006, when I was only 10 and couldn't stay up to see Lordi winning. I attended my first contest in 2013 in Malmö. I'm studying journalism and I love music — you will probably never see me without my headphones on.
