Shaya Hansen, who was a big favorite to win the 2015 Greek selection, has confirmed that she would be willing to attempt again to compete at the Eurovision Song Contest.

Shaya was one of the big favorites to win the 2015 Greek national selection with the song ‘Sunshine’. However, she eventually lost to Maria Elena Kyriakou’s ‘One Last Breath’, coming 3rd out of the five acts (4th in televoting and 2nd in jury).
Recently, during an interview at ART FM, the Greek-Danish singer has expressed her interest in competing at Eurovision.

Who is Shaya?
Shaya Hansen, or simply known as Shaya, is a Greek-Danish singer. She started her music career in Greece as part of the Hi-5 girl group, which was created during the Greek version Popstars in 2003. Following the band’s split in 2005, Shaya pursued a solo career in the country. In 2008, she collaborated with Kostas Martakis for the Greek version of Right Here, Right Now from High School Musical 3, titled ‘Mikroi Theoi’ (Small Gods). One year later, she teamed up with Stavento in ‘Prin Se Gnoriso’ (Before I Met You). The song won the award for Best Video Clip Hip Hop at the Greek MAD Video Music Awards.
She gained further recognition when she released her collaboration with Mark F. Angelo ‘Far From Everything’ in 2011, which earned them the win for Best Greek Act at the 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards. The same year, she released her debut studio album called Resurrection, which featured house and dance elements.
