Tel Aviv 2019

Is the Cypriot entry for Eurovision 2019 called “Replay”?

CyBC has been teasing the fans lately with hints on composers, and recently in regards to the staging team. Now CyBC has once again posted a teaser on their Facebook page finally revealing the potential title for the Cypriot entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2019.
The song will reportedly be called “Replay”.

“Replay” for Cyprus in Eurovision 2019

Cyprus is the first country to reveal the title of their upcoming Eurovision 2019 entry, which is called “Replay”, written and composed by Alex Papaconstantinou,  together with Teddy Sky, Albin Nedler, Kristofer Fogelmark and Viktor Svensson.
Alex Papaconstantinou, who composed this year’s Fuego for Cyprus, has been confirmed as the composer for next year’s Cypriot entry as well. Rumours has been going around for a while that CyBC would renew the collaboration between the parties, but they only recently confirmed it.

It’s obvious that Cyprus is once again aiming to reach the top of the scoreboard relying on a strong and well experienced team of composers in Eurovision, as well as the staging team led by Sasha Jean-Baptiste. Her involvement with the Cypriot entry for 2019 has been a strong rumour since the previous hint made by CyBC.

There are also strong rumours regarding the artist Cyprus will send to Tel Aviv. In previous reports, Greek-Georgian singer Tamta was mentioned as the singer most likely to represent Cyprus. However, in later news it seems Vangelis Kakouriotis has taken over the leading role. The hint posted by CyBC today also seems to hint at a male singer.
