Nicole confirmed as Special Guest in Eurovision in Concert 2019

Known for being one of the biggest Eurovision pre-parties every season, Eurovision in Concert has confirmed that the 1982 Eurovision Song Contest winner Nicole as the Special Guest in the 11th edition of the Concert.

Nicole at the Eurovision Song Contest

17-year-old Nicole represented what was “West Germany” in the Eurovision Song Contest in Harrogate with her song “Ein bißchen Frieden” which translates to ‘A Little Peace. Her entry was composed by Ralph Siegel and written by Bernd Meinunger and Paul Greedus.

In Harrogate, Nicole managed to obtain Germany’s first win in the song contest, doing so in a landslide, with 161 Points, 61 Points ahead of Avi Toledano’s “Hora”. Nicole’s Winner reprise after the voting is well-remembered for being a four-languages version of the song : in German, English, French, and Dutch.

This was Germany’s only victory until 2010 when Lena won the contest in Oslo.

Eurovision in Concert 2019

The eleventh Eurovision in Concert will be taking place on April 6, 2019. After successfully staging the Concert at AFAS Live in 2018, the organisers have confirmed that the venue will once again host the concert in 2019.

Next year’s event will be co-hosted by Dutch commentator Cornald Maas, who also hosted the event in 2018, and Marlayne Sahupala, who was the Dutch representative in Jerusalem back in 1999, with her entry “One Good Reason” which placed 8th overall in the competition (tying with Denmark).
