The EBU has announced today that Poland will host the 2019 Junior Eurovision Song s Contest.
Their victory last month saw Roksana Węgiel bring the nation their first victory with the song Anyone I Want to Be.
We recently reported how the MP of Gliwice was keen to host the 2019 competition, in a letter delivered to the president of TVP. Newly built Arena Gliwice was listed as the venue of choice due to 17,000 capacity and ease of access.

The EBU’s head of live events, Jon Ola Sand, has spoken of today’s announcement, expressing his delight at the news.
We are delighted to announce Poland as our Host Country, and TVP as our Host Broadcaster, for Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 and once again congratulate Roksana Węgiel on her spectacular winning performance at this year’s Contest. It is always exciting to bring the event to a new Host Country for the first time, and we look forward to seeing TVP’s vision for Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 come to life over the forthcoming year.”
