Moments ago, the Cypriot broadcaster CyBC has confirmed that Georgian-Greek singer will officially represent Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest next year.
We had previously reported that Tamta has confirmed her interest to participate. After earlier reports that the Greek and Cypriot broadcasters have approached her, it is now official that she will be representing the island nation in Tel Aviv.
Earlier details about the entry confirmed
We have previously reported that Alex P will once again compose the Cypriot entry, after the success of Fuego. In addition to this, CyBC has also confirmed that Sacha Jean Baptiste will once again be in charge of the staging after doing the same earlier this year.
Aiming for a win in Tel Aviv?
Since their return in 2015, the island has qualified for the grand final every single time. Prior to this run of form, Cyprus had never managed to qualify from a semi-final in two consecutive contests.
In 2018, Cyprus selected Eleni Foureira to represent them in Lisbon and managed to finish second overall. Do you think Tamta can do one better and win the whole thing?
