For a second consecutive year Czech Republic’s broadcaster ČT is holding a national selection to select their representative for the Eurovision Song Contest. Today the broadcaster revealed the eight artists and songs taking part in their 2019 selection.

- Pam Rabbit – Easy To Believe
- Jara Vymer – On My Knees
- Barbora Mochowa – True Colors
- Hana Barbara – Poslední slova tobě
- Andrea Holá – Give Me A Hint
Pam Rabbit was one of Mikolas Josef’s backing vocalists in Lisbon.
Česká televize received over 300 songs for their selection. The winner will be decided by online voters and international jury. The votes from international fans will be counted together as one juror. The voting opened today and will close on January 21st. You can vote for your favourite song on the Eurovision app.
Czech Republic in the Eurovision Song Contest
After debuting in the contest in 2007, the country has qualified twice in the final. Czech Republic withdrew from the contest in 2010 and returned in 2015.
They qualified to the final for the first time in 2016, when Gabriela Gunčíková represented the country with “I Stand”. Their best result ever came last year in Lisbon. Mikolas Josef represented Czech Republic with “Lie to Me” and finished sixth in the final.
