Latvia in the Eurovision Song Contest
When Supernova launched in 2015, Latvia saw immediate success. After six consecutive non-qualifications, including three last places, Aminata managed a top six finish in Vienna with Love Injected. Justs followed up with another qualification and 15th place with Heartbeat.
Unfortunately, Latvia’s success has started to dwindle over the past couple of years. Triana Park and Laura Rizzotto both failed to qualify for the final in 2017 and 2018 respectively. While Line placed last in the semi-final, Laura’s Funny Girl came close to qualifying, finishing just five points behind 10th placed Hungary.
