Romania: M I H A I withdraws from Selecția Națională

"I can't continue on a road that has many mysteries"

After TVR’s decision to choose two wildcards to Selecția Națională, M I H A I has decided to withdraw from the contest. He was supposed to sing “Baya” in the semifinals of Romania’s national selection.

“I no longer trust the objectivity of the organisers of Eurovision Romania”

M I H A I announced his decision on Facebook. He says he can’t no longer trust the objectivity of the organisers of Selecția Națională.

M I H A I, who represented Romania in Eurovision 2006 and finished fourth, has taken part in Romania’s national selection several times. Last year he finished seventh in the final.

I started watching Eurovision back in 2006, when I was only 10 and couldn't stay up to see Lordi winning. I attended my first contest in 2013 in Malmö and been to all the contests ever since. I'm studying journalism and I love music — you will probably never see me without my headphones on.
