First off, I must issue an apology. It appears that the quiz from last week got sucked up into the digital ether and didn’t make it into the finished article. This left a short article hyping readers up for a quiz and with no quiz actually present. Sadly, those questions aren’t present in our database anymore, so that article has been removed. My sincerest apologies about that. Making it up is that this week, there are a lot more exciting questions as the first big national competition of the year (sorry, Festivali i Kenges) in Destination Eurovision had its first semi-final this week. Most other finals are revealing their lineup, announcing their dates, and showing off their running order and we’re about to tip the cusp of the grandest time in Eurovision season. Let’s see how many questions you can answer from facts cherrypicked from last week’s news. A national final hype quiz, if you will. Focusing on the early announcers, and some details about where, when and what artists and songs.
Every question in this quiz is related to ESCXtra articles published during the last week. Maybe also a few days either side. Perhaps it was something being reported, maybe it about information that our writers left in the article. Very occasionally it’ll require a little bit of Eurovision knowledge outside of that. The majority of the answers will have been on this website very recently.
In any case, I hope you’ll join us and have an attempt at the very latest in Eurovision trivia. It’ll also serve as a useful reminder of the headlines you have been reading this week.

As a Crusader Kings II player (for whom they are the official band of), this quizmaster would count Pagan Fury as the act he's most excited to see in this year's Melodifestivalen. Which explains this question.
Which of the following acts qualified from the first semi-final of Destination Eurovision to take part in the final?
The Florina picture was a red herring! Apologies if you got caught out by that.
