Spain’s Eurovision 2019 representative Miki is wasting no time in getting to work! Straight after winning OT’s Eurovision Gala, he has revealed that he has started working on his debut album.
A busy few months ahead
In case you missed the hype last weekend, Miki has been selected to represent Spain in Israel this year with his song “La Venda”. While his upbeat track has been constantly stuck in our minds for the last few days, he has begun work on his debut album. However, Miki won’t be working on this alone. He has the help of Alfred García, Arnau Griso and Nil Molines.
Speaking at a press conference after winning the hearts of the Spanish public, Miki stated that competing at Eurovision in May will be a landmark in his life.
The only phrase that comes to mind is to enjoy, enjoy everything that comes in. I think it is an experience that, in the coming months, will combine my two passions: music and travel
Miguel Núñez Pozo, otherwise known as Miki, will represent Spain at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. He took part in Operación Triunfo and made it to the semi-finals, finishing in sixth place. In the Eurovision Gala, he was selected to sing three of the songs that were shortlisted in the selection. Two of them qualified for the final: “Nadie se salva”, alongside fellow contestant Natalia, and “La Venda”. In the end, “La Venda” was chosen to represent Spain. Miki won with 32% of the public vote.
