Czech Republic: Four more jurors award their 12 points

It's getting exciting!

Four former Eurovision representatives have given their 12 points for their favourite song in Eurovision Song CZ, Czech Republic’s national selection for Eurovision Song Contest 2019.

Two sets of 12s for Lake Malawi

First to give their 12 points are the Swiss duo ZiBBZ. The siblings who represented Switzerland in 2018 awarded their 12 points for Barbora Mochowa, who also got the top points from the first two jurors.

Next up is Ira Losco, who represented Malta in 2002 and 2016. The “7th Wonder” and “Walk on Water” singer gave her 12 points for Lake Malawi and “Friend of a Friend“.

Elina Nechayeva, who brought Estonia back to the final in 2018 with “La forza”, also awarded her douze points for Lake Malawi.

The sixth set of 12 points came from the Hungarian band AWS, who represent their country in Lisbon with “Viszlát nyár”. Their top score went to Andrea Holá and “Give Me a Hint“.

Czech Republic in Eurovision 2019

Czech Republic is using a national selection for the second time since their comeback in 2015. Last year Mikolas Josef was chosen to represent the country and he finished sixth in the Eurovision 2018 final.

This year eight songs are competing in Eurovision Song CZ. Ten-member international jury will choose the winner together with international and Czech fans, who could vote for their favourites through the Eurovision app. Yesterday the Czech broadcaster Česká televize revealed that they received 8128 international votes.

I started watching Eurovision back in 2006, when I was only 10 and couldn't stay up to see Lordi winning. I attended my first contest in 2013 in Malmö. I'm studying journalism and I love music — you will probably never see me without my headphones on.
