Tonight the Latvian national final kicked off with their first semi-final. The first eight acts had to perform tonight in Riga and got judged by the jury who is composed by DJ Rudd, singers Linda Leen and Ralf Eiland and radio producer Artis Dvariona and the televoters at home. Together they found the first four acts going to the final of Supernova 2019!
The four acts for the Supernova 2019 final are…
- Samanta Tīna – Cutting the wire
- Edgars Kreilis – Cherry Absinthe
- Aivo Oskis – Somebody’s got my lover
- Laime Pilnīga – Awe
Tonights eliminated acts are therefore…
- Alekss Silvērs – Fireworks
- Elza Rozentāle – You came on tiptoe
- Kris & Oz – Midnight streets
- Līga Rīdere – Būšu tepat
The show hosted by Dagmar Legant and Ketija Schoenberg found there first four qualifiers for the final based on a mix of a jury- and televoting. These four acts now will battle on February 16, who will represent Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. After missing the final the past two years, Latvia now wants to get back to the Grand Final!
