This year Spain is represented by Blas Cantó and his song “Universo”. Today he revealed the team who will join him on the stage in Rotterdam.
In Rotterdam, Blas will be joined by Dangelo Ortega, who also worked on the song, Daira Monzón, Irene Alman, Pedro Elipe and Hector Artiles. Pedro Elipe previously tried to represent Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2017 with the song “Del dolor“. Most of them have worked with Blas previously.
Dan Hammond, the producer and composer of “Universo”, will be the musical director of the performance. The stage show will be designed by the Danish Nicoline Refsing.
Blas Cantó was internally selected to represent Spain by the broadcaster RTVE. His song “Universo” is written by Blas Cantó, Dan Hammond, Ashley Hicklin, Dangelo Ortega and Mikolaj Trybulec.
As one of the countries of the “big five”, Spain won’t have to compete in the semifinals, but we will see Blas’ performance as the interval act on the second semifinal of the contest.
