Ultimo, stage name of Niccolò Moriconi, was born in Rome in 1996. He bagn writing music at 14 by attending the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. He signed his first record deal with Honiro in 2016after winning a hip hop competition. He collaborated with Fabrizio Moro in 2017 and later published his first album “Pianeti” which peaked second. In 2018, he won the Nuove Proposte at Sanremo with “Il ballo delle incertezze“, earning double platinum certification. His second album “Peter Pan” came out shortly after also earning double platinum. Furthermore, his first album returned to the charts earning gold certification. Later, he also embarked on a tour around Italy, which was extremely successful.

Zen Circus

Zen Circus are a debuting band at Sanremo. Formed in Pisa in 1994 as The Zen. Currently, the band is composed of Andrea Appino, Ufo (Massimiliano Schiavelli), Karim Qqru and Francesco Pellegrini. They released their first album in 1998, which they self-produced and created their own record label. They later went on to publish more album in 2000, 2001 and 2005, also singing a few songs in Italian for the first time. One of their tracks for the 2008 album called “Figlio di pu**ana” enjoyed chart success and their 2009 album, sung entirely in Italian, was deemed one of the best of the year. In 2010, they undertook a tour of 110 dates that earned them victory at the P.I.M.I. prize as best tour. After publishing an album and EP in 2011 and 2012, their 2014 album “Canzoni contro natura” peaked 9th in the charts. Two more albums came in 2016 and 2018 peaking at 6th and 7th places in the charts. Additionally, Adrea Appino and Karim Qqru both published albums as solo artists.
