🇵🇹 Festival da Canção’s Bárbara Tinoco reveals new music video for “A Fugir de Ser”

Last Friday, Festival da Canção star Bárbara Tinoco released a music video for a reworked version of her previously released track “A Fugir de Ser” (Running from Yourself). It’s the Portuguese star’s first video clip since “Sei Lá” which itself was released prior to Bárbara’s Festival da Canção fan favourite “Passe-Partout”.

Reworking the track

“A Fugir de Ser” was originally released last summer in an acoustic form. Now, Bárbara has reworked the track to have a modern, midtempo feeling that’s perfect for that summer road trip! The former “The Voice” star wrote the lyrics herself as well as co-composing the track with Vladlen Grigorovschii. Production for the track took place at Soundhill Studios by João André. The music video was produced by Mário Ferreira and Smartzeko.

Fan favourite to represent Portugal

Bárbara, already a household name in Portugal following her hit track “Antes Dela Dizer Que Sim” (Before She Says Yes), rose to international prominence in the Eurovision community with her 2020 Festival da Canção entry “Passe-Partout”. Despite winning the televoting, Bárbara placed second in the competition behind Elisa’s winning track “Medo de Sentir” (Fear of Feeling).
