Blanche releases music video for “Wrong Turn”

This afternoon Blanche, Belgium’s representative for 2017 has released a music video for her recent single ‘Wrong Turn’ on Youtube. Released in May, the song now has an accompanying visual to reflect the same contemporary, moody feel of the track. The music video was directed by Nur Casadevall Castello and produced by CANADA & Blink.

No longer ‘all alone in the danger zone’

The video itself clearly acts as a nod to the iconic imagery of Dua Lipa’s globally-charting ‘New Rules’ by portraying a female collective whose choreography independently interact and respond to one another. However, Blanche takes audiences further. The exclusively female space extends beyond the bedroom or bathroom, eventually leading to an outside area. Here, the group delicately engage with curtains revealing the universe. It certainly leaves food for thought!
Blanche dazzled the Eurovision stage in Kyiv last year with the mesmerising ‘City Lights’ which came fourth.  Since Kyiv 2017, the song received major radio airplay across Europe. Alongside charting in fifteen countries, ‘City Lights’ was certified platinum. At the end of last year, Flemish chart company UltraTop announced City Lights as the sixth biggest single of the year in Belgium. This amazing feat made “City Lights” the longest-running Eurovision song ever on the Flemish charts, breaking chart records!
