Sweden: Dolly Style tops the audience poll ahead the third semifinal

Jon Henrik Fjällgren very close behind

Once again, the Swedish fan club Melodifestivalklubben asked the audience of the dress rehearsal, which of the competing acts was their favourite. The favourites in the third semifinal of Melodifestivalen 2019 are Dolly Style and Jon Henrik Fjällgren.

Melodifestivalen 2018 – deltävling 3 exit poll

  1. Dolly Style – Habibi – 144 votes (26.5%)
  2. Jon Henrik Fjällgren – Norrsken – 143 votes (26.3%)
  3. Omar Rudberg – Om om och om igen – 93 votes (17.1%)
  4. Martin Stenmarck – Låt skiten brinna – 62 votes (11.4%)
  5. Lina Hedlund – Victorious – 38 votes (7%)
  6. The Lovers of Valdaro – Somebody Wants – 35 votes (6.4%)
  7. Rebecka Karlsson – Who I Am – 28 votes (5.2%)

543 people voted in this week’s audience exit poll, with many being children. Yet, Melodifestivalklubben states that not all children voted for Dolly Style and many adults also said Dolly Style were their favourite.

On the first week the poll predicted correctly the two qualifiers as well as the two artists that went to the andra chansen. Last week young Malou Prytz surprised everyone after placing fifth in the poll but qualified directly to the final. Hanna Ferm & LIAMOO topped the poll with almost 40 percent of the votes and also qualified to the final.

What happens in Leksand?

Spoiler alert!

The third semifinal of Sweden’s Melodifestivalen 2019 takes place in Leksand, central Sweden. Seven acts will compete for two places in the final and two in the second chance round.

The show will be hosted by Eric Saade, Kodjo Akolor and Marika Carlsson, who will also perform the interval act “Diva”, that is said to be inspired by Liza Minelli. The show will open with the tribute to Ted Gärdestad, who represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 40 years ago in Jerusalem.
