Two more finalists announced for Melodifestivalen

We are halfway through Sweden's quest to find their Eurovision entry

The Third Semi-Final of Melodifestivalen took place in Leksand tonight, seven more acts fought for the two available places for the Grand Final and two available places for the Second Chance round.

Who performed tonight

The following acts competed for the four available spots:

  1. The Lovers of Valdaro – “Somebody Wants”
  2. Dolly Style – “Habibi”
  3. Martin Stenmarck – “Låt skiten brinna”
  4. Lina Hedlund – “Victorious”
  5. Omar – “Om om och om igen ”
  6. Rebecka Karlsson – “Who I Am”
  7. Jon Henrik Fjällgren – “Norrsken”

This Semi-Final consisted of a mixture returnees (Dolly Style, Martin Stenmarck, John Henrik Fjällgren) and acts who are returning but debuting as a solo artist for the first time (Lina Hedlund and Omar)

Where did the artists place tonight?

After two rounds of voting, the top four acts placed as follows:

Direct to the Final

  1. Jon Henrik Fjällgren – “Norrsken”
  2. Lina Hedlund – “Victorious”

Jon Henrik has managed to pull a hat trick, third time participation, and third time directly to the final.

Second Chance

  1. Martin Stenmarck – “Låt skiten brinna”
  2. Rebecka Karlsson – “Who I Am”

The remaining finalists placed as follows:

5. Dolly Style – “Habibi”

6. Omar – “ Om om och om igen ”

7. The Lovers of Valdaro – “Somebody Wants

Omar follow’s Oscar’s fate last week, as he failed to advance to the second round of voting. In addition to this, Dolly Style failed to make it past their Semi-Final for the first time in their third Melodifestivalen participation.

The Finalists so far

The line-up for the Grand Final taking place in the 10th March is currently as follows:

  1. Wiktoria – Not With Me
  2. Mohombi – Hello
  3. Malou Prytz – I Do Me
  4. Hanna Ferm & LIAMOO – Hold You
  5. Jon Henrik Fjällgren – Norrksen
  6. Lina Hedlund – Victorious

The fourth and final Semi-Final of Melodifestivalen will take place in Lidköping next week, where two more acts will advance to the final and two more will advance to Second Chance.
