O Melodie Pentru Europa moved to March 2

Moldova joins Finland, Georgia, Iceland, Norway and Portugal for a Super Saturday

Moldova has confirmed that it will be holding the final of O Melodie Pentru Europa on March 2. We previously reported that Moldova will hold a Semi-Final on March 2 and choose their entry the day after. It looks like TRM has decided to forego the Semi-Final and just have the one show.

Moldova held an open auditions, where we saw 28 entries condensed down to the lucky ten:

In 2018, DoReDoS won melodiepentru Europa thus earning the right to represent Moldova at the Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon. The trio’s performance of My Lucky Day was widely considered as one of the highlights of the competition.

Finishing in tenth place, DoReDoS amassed a total of 209 points. As a result, Moldova secured their second consecutive top ten finish at Eurovision, and their joint-third best result ever.
