On this Saturday, Finland will choose their Eurovision 2019 entry from three songs, all performed by Darude feat. Sebastian Rejman. Now the broadcaster Yle has shared some information about how the voting in the final works.
50% televote, 50% international juries
The winning song will be selected by the Finnish televoters and international juries. The international jury includes representatives from United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain, Israel, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Czech Republic.
Finnish people can vote for their one favourite song free with the Yle.fi app. One vote on the app equals ten televotes. One televote costs one euro and the money is donated to the Finnish Red Nose Day -organization.
Anna mirrin puhua
Earlier this week Yle also shared the song of this year’s opening number. The song is performed by the host Krista Siegfrids. From 2017’s “UMG Bitch” and 2018’s Suzy-inspired opening number, it seems this year Krista and the songwriters got inspired by Eesti Laul’s Kaia Tamm.
The song “Anna mirrin puhua” or as Krista translated it on her Instagram, “Let the pussycat speak”, was released with a music video. The video is starring the hosts Siegfrids and Christoffer Strandberg. The song is written by Elias Koskimies, Krista Siegfrids and Leo Salminen.

What to expect from Saturday’s show?
Tonight, Yle broadcasted the first of three pre-shows for Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2019. In tonight’s show, details of the three shows were shared by Darude.
Not much was given away, but we heard about having “third person on the stage” at the performance of “Look Away” and the performance for “Release Me” will include a treadmill. “Superman” will have a huge laser show.
