Melodi Grand Prix 2019

Tonight’s show started with Alexander Rybak performing a mash-up of “That’s How You Write A Song” and “Fairytale”. He also managed to sneak in a couple of other Eurovision memories in his performance. At the end of the show, NRK paid hommage to twelve time MGP entrant and Eurovision 1997 participant Tor Endresen.

KEiiNO emerge victorious

Despite only picking up one top score from the international juries, KEiiNO were the ones to take the crown. The combination of English language pop and traditional joik was the favourite of the Norwegians. The joik singer of the group even thanked the audience in his native tongue Sami.
