This morning the contestants for Das Deutsche Finale have been announced!
In total 9 acts will compete to represent Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö this year. NDR released 8 of the songs this morning and one more song will qualify from the show “Ich will zum ESC!” on Thursday 8 February.
The artists are:
1: Galant – “Katze
2: Isaak – “Always On The Run”
3: Leona – “Undream You”
4: Bodine Monet – “Tears Like Rain”
5: Max Mutzke – “Forever Strong”
6: Marie Reim – “Naiv”
7: NinetyNine – “Love On A Budget”
8: Ryk – “Oh Boy”
The final of Das Deutsche Finale is on February 16 in Berlin, and will be broadcasted live on Das Erste, Eurovision.de and ARD Mediathek.
The 2023 Eurovision Song Contest wasn’t as successful for Germany as they finished last place with the song ‘Blood and Glitter’ by Lord of the Lost. This marked a second consecutive last-place performance for Germany at ESC.
