Could there be a more fitting day to celebrate the women in our lives? We say NO and Tamara Todevska seems to agree by revealing her Eurovision 2019 entry, “Proud” on this particular day.
The wait is over, and the Macedonian National Broadcaster, MRTV, decided to go conceptual and build a bridge between their entry and International Woman’s Day.
Shine your light, go and break the rules!
Taking a strong stance when it comes to celebrating individuality and womanhood, Tamara delivers us “Proud” and embraces beauty in differences.
The essence of the song is perfectly captured in the music video. Adding women of different ages, cultures, religions and sizes celebrating who they are & showcasing the strength of being unique. Celebrate womanhood despite our differences would seem as a fitting description of the creative.
The man responsible for bringing us the visuals to go with the song, Cedo Popovski has been Tamara’s trustee when it comes to bringing her ideas into fruition for years.
Additionally, among the women featured in Tamara’s music video we could spot a few familiar faces. One of them is an Eurovision veteran and a regionally known superstar, Tijana Dapcevic.

“Proud” is written and produced by three authors. Robert Bilbilov, Darko Dimitrov and Lazar Cvetkovski.
Robert Bilbilov is no stranger to the Macedonian public, his work has previously been featured on the Eurovision stage and yes, it was Tamara’s entry “Let Me Love You”.
Darko Dimitrov has a long list of Eurovision experiences, his latest being both Eye Cue and Serbia’s Balkanika and Sanja Ilic last year. However, his most memorable work features Elena Risteska and her Eurovision 2006 entry “Ninanajna” which gave the country its best result to date.
Last but not least, Lazar Cvetkovski, he’s best known for being directly involved in Esma and Lozano’s “Pred Da Se Razdeni” and Tijana’s “To The Sky”.
