I sure hope this is one to break our streak of not picking the winner, I think Poland have a clear best choice in ‘Gladiator’. It has beautiful dark synths pulsating through the track and ithe singing is delivered by Jann at just the sort of intensity you can never get enough of on a Eurovision stage. You could imagine this on the stage with Jann’s silhouette framed by low lights and a menacing feel. Something this artistic is normally a media draw at Eurovision, so I would say that Poland, you have an opportunity here.

We’ve not been doing too well, now have we..? But Poland… This may be your chance to redeem yourself and to redeem us! Jann sounds like a brilliant vocalist and the song is very complex. It doesn’t immediately catch me, but it does immediately captivate me. I want to understand what this is about and it got stuck in my head. Not so much the tune itself, but the entire concept. It’s art in Eurovision form. Poland… go for it, do it.
