It’s been six long weeks of four semifinals and a “second chance” round in Melodifestivalen 2019. But in tonight’s spectacular grand final, Sweden have finally chosen who their entry for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv. Sweden will be represented by John Lundvik with Too Late For Love!
Top points from ALL juries
Luckily, after the outrage in 2017 after the favourite in the televoting did not win, the juries and televoters agreed this time around. Not just that, but John Lundvik received the top 12 points from every one of the juries. You can see the full results below:
Artist | Song | Juries | Televoting | Total | Ranking |

Mohombi | Hello | 32 | 42 | 74 | 5 |
Arvingarna | I Do | 27 | 37 | 64 | 6 |
Wiktoria | Not With Me | 36 | 28 | 64 | 7 |

As you can see, there was a two-way tie for second place between Bishara’s On My Own and Hanna Ferm & Liamoo’s Hold You. This tie was broken by looking at the televoter’s favourite of the two, which was On My Own. A similar tie-break procedure was used to solved the three-way tie for sixth place between Arvingarna, Wiktoria and Nano, and another two-way tie for fourth place, between Jon Henrik Fjällgren and Mohombi.
What do you think of Too Late for Love? Did your favourite win the Melodifestivalen 2019 final? Are you looking forward to seeing John Lundvik’s performance in Tel Aviv?
