Eurovision.tv launches “Eurovision Home Concerts”

New series launching on Friday!

With most of Europe now on lockdown, Eurovision.tv is launching a new series called “Eurovision Home Concerts”! The series will be shown on YouTube and across Eurovision’s social media channels! Each episode will feature famous Eurovision artists performing their entry and a cover of a Eurovision favourite!

The first episode will be published this Friday (3rd April). New episodes will follow every Friday! Eurovision fans will be able to vote for each artist’s cover song through Twitter polls. Even with this year’s contest cancelled, it won’t stop a few 2020 acts popping up along the way too!

Bringing people “together”!

Ryan O’Shaugnessy was announced as the first artist to be taking part. He represented Ireland at the 2018 contest in Lisbon. He will appear in the first episode, performing his Eurovision entry, “Together”, alongside his cover song, “Think About Things” (Iceland 2020).

Today, Tamara Todevska was announced as the second artist to take part. As well as her jury vote winner, “Proud”, she will also perform last year’s runner-up “Soldi”. Italy’s 2019 entry won the public vote with 41.1%. It hasn’t been announced whether Tamara will also perform her 2008 non-qualifier, “Let Me Love You”, during the online concert.

More artists will be announced over the coming days, so keep an eye out on the official Eurovision Twitter account.

“Eurovision Home Concerts” isn’t the first Eurovision-related online concert. Bulgaria’s 2021 entrant, Victoria, will hold her own online concert tonight (28th March) at 19:00 CET. SuRie, who represented the UK at the 2018 contest, will also hold her own online concert tomorrow night.

Who would you like to see take part in the online concerts? Will you be watching on YouTube every Friday?
