🇧🇪 Luka Cruysberghs releases debut single ‘Not Too Late’

Her long-awaited debut is here! Former Hooverphonic member Luka Cruysberghs has released her first solo single ‘Not Too Late’.

Trying to make up for her mistakes

‘Not Too Late’ is a cool electro pop song that tells the story of Luka making a mistake that causes her lover to leave the scene. Realising what her actions have caused, she’s now hoping to bring them back.

The song starts off with Luka’s melancholic voice reflecting the lyrics, until she is accompanied by two dancers in the video and the catchy beat kicks in.

Lyrics to ‘Not Too Late’

Thought I didn’t care
Now it’s too much to bear

Gave you a reason to walk out on me, baby
I didn’t see, I got you
Now it’ll take some time to heal, I believe that
I need you

All you gotta do is hold on, hold on
I told you, I got you
All you gotta do is hold on, hold on
I told you, I need you
All you gotta do is hold on, hold on
I told you, I got you
All you gotta do is hold on, hold on
I told you, it’s not too late

Up all night, try to fight my sick emotions
If you want I’ll be yours
Just tryna let me in tonight
And I will let you never get away again

Gave you a reason to walk out on me, baby
I didn’t see, I got you
Now it’ll some time to heal, I believe that
I need you

All you gotta do is hold on, hold on
I told you, I got you
All you gotta do is hold on, hold on
I told you, I need you
All you gotta do is hold on, hold on
I told you, I got you
All you gotta do is hold on, hold on
I told you, it’s not too late

Luka’s career so far

Luka first stepped onto the scene in 2017 where she competed in The Voice of Flanders and eventually won the competition. Shortly after her victory, she was introduced as a member of Hooverphonic in 2018. The group were due to compete in Eurovision 2020 with the song ‘Release Me’ until it was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Later that year, it was announced that she was replaced by returning member Geike Arnaert, thus no longer able to take part in Eurovision the following year.

Now a solo singer-songwriter, her management company BASSICK says that “2021 is the year where she reintroduces herself as an artist by releasing her first solo music and it promises to be a start of an exciting new chapter in her artistry”.
