Tel Aviv 2019

France reveal commentating team for Tel Aviv

With preparations for Eurovision 2019 underway, the French delegation have revealed the team that will be commentating on the contest in Tel Aviv this coming May.

Familiar faces

The team consists of three members who will commentate on both the semi finals and Saturday’s grand final.

First we have André Manoukian, a well known and respected musician in France who is also of Armenian descent. National final watchers may recognise him as he was a judge on Destination Eurovision. As well as songwriting, he composes songs for other French artists. This includes the likes of Natasha St-Pier, who represented France in Eurovision back in 2001.

Sandy Heribert will be commentating as well. She was a co-host for this year’s Destination Eurovision. She has roots in both France and the United Kingdom, and is best known for her work in TV journalism and event hosting.

The last commentator we have is Stéphane Bern. The French-Luxembourgish TV presenter has been commentating on the show since 2015 and will again return this year. He also joined forces with Madame Monsieur on commentating Junior Eurovision last year. So it’s safe to say that he has a lot of experience in this area.

France in Eurovision 2019

For the second year running, France used their selection Destination Eurovision to decide who would represent them in Israel. This year, they selected Bilal Hassani with the song “Roi”.
