About Eurovision France – C’est vous qui décidez

Eurovision France c’est vous qui décidez was held for the first time last year, following the widely-criticised internal selection of Tom Leeb in 2020. The show proved a success, attracting over 2.3 million viewers. As a one-show selection, it marked a departure from the Destination Eurovision format last used in 2019.

In 2021, the show included two rounds. After the first round in which all 12 acts performed, seven songs selected by televote and one wildcard selected by the jury qualified for the second round. The jury and the televoters then selected the winner from these eight songs. The 10-person jury featured former French Eurovision acts Amir (2016), Marie Myriam (1977) and Natasha St-Pier (2001).

After topping both the jury vote and televote in the selection, Barbara Pravi went on to finish second in the Grand Final of Eurovision 2021 with “Voilà”, scoring a total of 499 points. Under the pre-2016 system, she would have narrowly beat eventual winners Måneskin.
