Information about Nevena’s performance revealed

Nevena will have Eurovision experience

Fresh from her performance at the Eurovision in Concert in Amsterdam, RTS has confirmed the team that will be with Nevena during her performance in Tel Aviv.

Backing singers with Eurovision experience

Nevena will be accompanied on stage in Tel Aviv with four backing singers. All of which has Eurovision experience either as a backing singer or as a Eurovision participant:

  • Olga Popović – Olga was part of the Serbian team in Azerbaijan in 2012. when she was a backing singer and violinist for the Serbian performance, in which Serbia took third place.
  • Ivana Vladovic – Ivana hasbeen part of the Serbian team as a backing vocalist two times (2015 and 2018) This year, she was with the Wonder String quartet for Aleksandra Milutinovic’s “My Pain” at Beovizija, which placed fifth.
  • Dušan Alagić – Dušan is a composer, songwriter, music producer and multi-instrumentalist. He was one of the backing singers for Serbia in 2012. Dušan was also the songwriter and producer of the Serbian version of the 2017 entry ‘In Too Deep’.
  • Mladen Lukić – Mladen represented Serbia at the Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon last year. He is the lead vocalist of Sanja Ilic and Balkanika, which qualified for the Grand Final and placed 18th overall.

Acoustic version of Kruna released

Along with releasing more information about her staging in Tel Aviv, Nevena has also released an acoustic version of ‘Kruna’. The performance will give you an insight of how Nevena will work with her team on her performance next month.

The acoustic version of Nevena’s Eurovision entry, focuses more on the instruments, and the use of harmonies along with the backing singers accompanying her on the performance.

Nevena Božović at the Eurovision Song Contest

This is not the first time that Nevena has competed in the Eurovision world. Nevena has competed in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest back in 2007 with ‘Piši Mi‘,where she placed third overall.

In 2013, Nevena competed for the Eurovision Song Contest, as part of the group Moje 3 with ‘Ljubav Je Svuda‘. The group unfortunately did not make it past the first Semi-Final, placing 11th on the night.

Nevena will once again return in the Eurovision Song Contest, after being selected to represent Serbia with the song Kruna. She will compete in the first semi-final on the 14th May for a place in the Grand Final.
