Eurovision Prediction🇮🇱 Israel

🇮🇱 YOU have predicted ‘La La Love’ to win HaShir HaBa L’Eurovizion

50.6% of you predicted La La Love, but 100% of you predicted Eden Alene...

Over the last past two weeks, you have been submitting your predictions for the second round of Eurovision Prediction 2021. For this round, your task was to predict the winner of HaShir HaBa L’Eurovizion – Eden Alene’s 3-song selection. Now, let’s take a look at who you collectively expect to win the Israeli ticket to Rotterdam!

As a result of increasing COVID cases in Israel and a national lockdown, the planned live national final was scrapped. Rather than delay or cancel, KAN have opted instead to broadcast music videos for the three entries before revealing the winner.

This marks a departure from the original concept, where all three songs were due to be performed live by Eden ahead of the announcement of the online voting results. The entry itself will still be chosen by 100% public vote, which opened last week and closed today.

During this round of Eurovision Prediction 2021, 176 of you have predicted which song you think will be Eden’s entry for Rotterdam. Without further ado, here are the results in order of frequency, from most to least votes:

RankSongNumber of predictionsPercentage
1La La Love8950.6%
2Ue La La6838.6%
3Set Me Free1910.8%

Note, this is a tighter pack than last year’s selection, where 56.5% of you predicted that ‘Rakata’ would win. Notably, less than a quarter of you (24.7%) correctly predicted eventual winner ‘Feker Libi’. Will our players get it right this time? We will find out tonight!

Most (not all) editors from the ESCXTRA team will be pleased with our voters’ taste; La La Love was ranked the top song of the selection in our Xtra Decides feature.

However, as our reaction series goes to show, these songs were all rather divisive…

We will publish the official results within 48 hours of the final. Stay tuned to see how you fare against the rest of the competition! In the meantime, voting for Round 3 for France’s selection is still open!

Last year, our 420 prediction players only predicted the correct national winners 10 of out 27 times…an all-time low. To be fair, 2020 was a very unpredictable year in general. In 2019, our Eurovision Prediction players collectively predicted 16 out of 29 national final winners correctly. In 2018, your record was 19 out of 30. How will you, our Eurovision Prediction 2021 players, fare this year? There are fewer rounds, and therefore a tighter playing field…so it’s all to play for…
